I have been moving forward on my guitar play and knowing of the keys. I am actually not that bad at the guitar. I am picking up on chords and keys and am slowly getting better every practice. The only trouble is that me and my guitar teacher Will Liddle can never have a set date as to when we can practice and meet. It is good that we are friends and can work around one another schedule. We normally like to meet on Wednesday but if that does not work we will plan something. Another thing that is happening is that my fingers are starting to get rough from playing a lot. I kind of like it because it shows that I am progressing. Moving forward I just have to stay on task and keep working on my skills and hopefully soon I will be able to play the guitar without having to stop between each chord to look at my finger placement. I hope that learning to play the guitar will cause my friends to also want to learn or get into music. Thank you for tuning it hope to see you all soon.

Kian, this blog post is nice to see how you have progressed. As a fellow classmate in 20time i am curious again to see what in the world this has to do with anything relevant to 20time. of course 20time is supposed to be time for one to improve themselves but this seems to be a more personal goal. some suggestions to to help you with your 20 time process is 1: change your topic, if you are really set on playing guitar though, maybe try and find organizations that help under privileged kids who want to learn instruments but cant afford teachers or the instruments, help them by making like a song from your learning on the guitar and spread the word threw our school which is known for musically talented kids.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you are starting to get calluses, especially if you're learning on an acoustic guitar. Another thing that can help you get better would be to try and play some chords or scales with your eyes closed, it is easier than it looks. If you need extra help I could give you some tips. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see that you're working hard on learning the guitar, so much so that your fingers are getting "rough". The roughness in your fingers is called callous and if you consistently keep up with playing the guitar throughout this semester, your fingertips will have very hard callous which will make guitar playing fairly easy. I know when I started out, it hurt my soft fingertips but as I grew a callous, it hurt less and I could play more. How do you work on progressing on your 20 time in class?
